Position Overview
We are seeking a Commercial Property & Casualty Insurance Producer with a minimum of two years of commercial insurance production experience to develop new business and grow a book of commercial accounts. This role targets clients with at least $50,000 in annual insurance premiums per client account .
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of securing commercial accounts, building relationships with business owners and executive decision-makers, and providing consultative insurance solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Prospect and secure commercial clients with annual insurance premiums of at least $50,000 per account.
- Generate new business through targeted outreach, networking, referrals, and professional relationships.
- Assess client operations, risk exposures, and insurance needs.
- Collaborate with account management teams and carrier partners to develop coverage proposals.
- Present insurance recommendations and explain coverage terms, exclusions, and options.
- Manage the sales process from initial contact through closing and transition to the account management team.
- Build lasting client relationships to support retention, renewals, referrals, and account growth.
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline records and meet established production goals.
- Follow agency procedures and applicable licensing and regulatory requirements.
- Minimum of two years of commercial Property & Casualty insurance production experience.
- Active Property & Casualty insurance license in the applicable state.
- Demonstrated success developing commercial accounts with annual premiums of $50,000 or more per client.
- Strong knowledge of commercial property, general liability, workers' compensation, commercial auto, and umbrella/excess liability coverage.
- Ability to build relationships with business owners, financial leaders, and executive decision-makers.
- Strong prospecting, presentation, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage a sales pipeline independently and follow through consistently.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and agency management systems.
- Established network of commercial business contacts and referral partners.
- Experience developing middle-market accounts.
- Relevant insurance designations, such as CIC or CPCU.
This is a field role: the work happens at customer and job sites across the U.S., and you can live anywhere in the country. Expect extended assignments of one to three months at a time.
