The University of Miami’s Division of Transplant Critical Care is seeking a dedicated intensivist to care for our most complex cardiothoracic and MCS transplant patients at Jackson Memorial Hospital — and to help shape the next generation of physicians who will follow. This is a role for someone who wants high-acuity, high-impact medicine without sacrificing their life outside the hospital. Work at the frontier — ECMO, mechanical circulatory support, and complex cardiothoracic surgery & transplant alongside a nationally recognized multidisciplinary team. Academic purpose — teach and mentor APPs, residents, and fellows across multiple disciplines in a true academic medical center. What You'll Do Provide direct critical care to our adult and congenital complex patient population. Collaborate closely with the surgical and medical transplant teams and consulting services, precept trainees at the bedside, and participate in multidisciplinary conferences, rounds, and divisional education. What You'll Bring M.D. or D.O. from an ABIM-, ABA-, AOA-, or ABS-recognized training program. Board certification in Pulmonary/Critical Care (ABIM), Critical Care (ABA), or Surgical Critical Care (ABS/AOBS). Valid, unrestricted Florida medical license — or eligibility to obtain one. Strong clinical expertise in ECMO/MCS, cardiothoracic transplant, and critical care echocardiography. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit. A Plus, But Not Required Specialized MCS/ECMO/transplant certification (E-AEC) and prior experience teaching in an academic setting. Ready to Make an Impact?
