Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable Sanitation Technician to support manufacturing operations by cleaning and sanitizing production and packaging equipment in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for maintaining high sanitation standards to ensure products meet quality and safety requirements.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, handling cleaning chemicals, performing physical tasks, and following safety and sanitation procedures.

Essential Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production and packaging equipment while following all safety procedures.
• Clean and sanitize batching and holding tanks according to company procedures.
• Perform light mechanical tasks to assist with equipment cleaning, including opening pumps and production equipment.
• Use cleaning chemicals and hot water safely and effectively.
• Sweep, scrub, and mop production areas and floors.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow instructions and communicate effectively with team members.
• Complete sanitation tasks while meeting production and quality standards.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours per shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in wet, humid, and changing temperature environments.
• Ability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and chemical handling requirements.
• Ability to read and understand chemical labels and SDS information.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred:

• Manufacturing, food, cosmetic, or sanitation experience.
• Knowledge of sanitation processes and cleaning procedures.
• Experience working with cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment.
• Understanding of microbial contamination and prevention practices.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to hot water, cleaning chemicals, wet surfaces, and humidity.
• Requires working around production equipment.
• May require weekend and holiday availability as needed.
