Join a team that values compassion, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence.Responsibilities:Perform venipunctures and fingersticks to collect blood specimens from residentsPrepare residents for blood draws, explain procedures, and answer questions regarding testingVerify resident identification and accurately label all specimens according to established proceduresEnsure specimens meet testing requirements, including proper collection tubes, specimen volume, and handling proceduresMaintain accurate documentation of blood draws, tests performed, and resident informationEnter and update resident information in applicable systems and databasesTransport specimens in accordance with facility policies and laboratory requirementsMaintain laboratory equipment and work areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary conditionMonitor inventory and maintain adequate supplies needed for phlebotomy proceduresComplete logs, requisitions, and other required documentation accurately and timelyCollaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and laboratory personnel to support resident careFollow infection control practices, safety procedures, and all federal, state, and facility regulationsAssist residents who may be anxious or fearful during blood collection proceduresPerform additional duties as assignedRequirements:Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree preferredMinimum experience requirement: Prior phlebotomy experience required; prior phlebotomy experience working with an elderly population preferredPhlebotomy Certification or equivalent requiredCPR Certification preferredExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to demonstrate empathy and compassion when working with residentsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to prioritize multiple tasks and work independentlyFamiliarity with infection control policies and proceduresKnowledge of specimen collection, handling, transportation, and laboratory documentation requirementsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically in a fast-paced environmentBenefits:Paid Time Off (PTO) for Full-Time and Part-TimeWeekly or Same-Day Pay OptionsHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceLife InsuranceEmployee Referral Bonus ProgramRetirement Saving OptionsEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
