Light Industrial Weekend Recruiter

This recruiter will serve as a key point of contact for candidates and internal teams during weekend operations, helping ensure our clients have the workforce they need when they need it.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit and source candidates for high-volume light industrial and manufacturing positions , including production, assembly, warehouse, material handling, quality, and general labor roles.
• Manage JITS staffing requests and respond quickly to changing client headcount needs.
• Conduct phone screens and interviews to assess candidate qualifications, availability, work history, reliability, and fit for the position.
• Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified, readily available candidates for immediate placement.
• Communicate job details, pay rates, schedules, locations, attendance expectations, and job requirements clearly to candidates.
• Coordinate candidate onboarding, including required documentation, background checks, drug screens, and other pre-employment requirements.
• Ensure candidates are fully prepared and confirmed prior to their scheduled start.
• Maintain frequent communication with candidates before and after placement to minimize no-shows, early turnover, and attendance issues.
• Monitor candidate confirmations, call-offs, replacements, and last-minute staffing needs.
• Quickly identify replacement candidates when a scheduled worker becomes unavailable.
• Work closely with Account Managers, Operations, and client contacts to prioritize urgent staffing needs.
• Maintain accurate and timely candidate and recruiting activity in the ATS/SmartSearch system.
• Follow established recruiting processes and ensure all candidate activity and interview information is documented accurately.
• Support weekend staffing coverage and respond to urgent candidate or client needs in a timely manner.
• Build and maintain relationships with reliable candidates who can be contacted for future JITS opportunities.
• Meet established recruiting, screening, submittal, placement, and response-time expectations.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of recruiting experience, preferably in light industrial, manufacturing, automotive, or temporary staffing
• Experience with high-volume recruiting and/or rapid-response staffing preferred.
• Strong ability to prioritize multiple open positions and changing staffing needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable making a high volume of phone calls and communicating with candidates through phone, text, and email.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working with urgent and last-minute staffing requests.
• Proficiency with ATS systems, Microsoft Office, and recruiting/job board platforms.
• Must be dependable and available to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Weekend Coverage

This position is specifically designed to provide recruiting and staffing support during the weekend, when automotive manufacturing clients may experience increased staffing needs, call-offs, and last-minute openings.

Required availability: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Weekend recruiters should be comfortable responding to time-sensitive staffing needs, communicating with candidates throughout the weekend, and coordinating replacements or additional staffing when necessary.
