Healthcare Billing Specialist: & Kind

As a billing assistant, you'll play an important role in the success of the organization by using your attention to detail, resiliency, communication and collaboration skills. About the Role You'll assist patients, answer billing questions and set up payment agreements using your kindness, problem‑solving and customer service skills. Responsibilities include: Carry out billing customer service Perform billing clerical tasks, including processing claims and posting payments. Provide education and support on sliding fee discount applications. You will travel to Neighborhood sites in Western New York as needed. Commitment to adhere to standard operating procedures and policies of Neighborhood Health Center as well as federal, state and local regulations One year prior medical billing experience and insurance verification preferred Able to read, write and speak the English language.
