Senior Immigration Attorney

Our Law Firm is seeking an accomplished Senior Immigration Attorney to join our leadership team. This position is intended for a highly experienced immigration attorney with exceptional legal judgment, a proven record of success handling complex immigration matters, and the ability to mentor attorneys while maintaining the highest standards of legal excellence. The Senior Immigration Attorney will oversee complex case strategy, conduct quality reviews of legal work, provide guidance to attorneys and legal staff, and collaborate with firm leadership to ensure exceptional client representation and operational excellence. The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate is a seasoned immigration attorney with a reputation for professionalism, integrity, and sound legal judgment. This individual is confident leading complex legal matters, mentoring attorneys, and contributing to the continued growth and success of the firm's immigration practice. Responsibilities: Provide leadership, guidance, mentorship, and legal consultation to staff attorneys, fostering professional development and the consistent delivery of high-quality legal services. Assist Firm leadership in developing and enhancing legal workflows, case management practices, attorney training, and quality assurance initiatives. Develop and oversee legal strategies for complex immigration matters while providing strategic direction to attorneys on case progression and legal issues. Review case strategies, legal filings, and supporting evidence to ensure the highest standards of legal quality, accuracy, compliance, and advocacy. Identify legal issues, case deficiencies, and opportunities to strengthen case strategy and filings before submission. Lead complex immigration matters, including asylum, family-based petitions, removal defense, detained cases, humanitarian relief, Habeas Corpus petitions, and federal litigation before U.S. District Court, and Circuit Court of Appeals, as assigned. Manage an active caseload of immigration matters from intake through final resolution, ensuring exceptional client representation and timely case progression. Conduct legal research and prepare or review complex legal filings and supporting documentation. Monitor case progression and critical deadlines, providing strategic direction to attorneys to ensure timely and effective case advancement. Collaborate with paralegals, case managers, and legal staff to promote efficient case management and exceptional client service. Participate in case review meetings and provide recommendations regarding legal strategy, workload distribution, and case progression. Qualifications: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active member in good standing with at least one U.S. State Bar. Minimum of 10 years of experience practicing immigration law. Extensive experience handling asylum, removal defense, family-based immigration, detained matters, and humanitarian relief. Experience with federal immigration litigation is strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to mentor, train, and support attorneys while managing a high-volume \caseload. Excellent legal writing, analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Compensation: $175,000 - $200,000 yearly

Compensation:
$175,000-$200,000 per year
