Shift Information: M-F 8:10am - 5 Pm

About Facility:

• Hematology and Oncology Outpatient Clinic
• Located on the 3rd floor of the Cancer Center. Infusions on one side and the providers/exam rooms on the other

Unit Information:

• Beds: 60 infusion chairs
• Census: Average patients/day: 125 per day

Minimum Years of Experience required : 1 year in oncology/infusion setting

• Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

• All types of cancer patients
• Adults

Patient Ratios:

• Depending on which pod assigned. Ratios will never be over 1:4

Required License, National Certification, Certs:

• BLS, Chemo/Bio certification required

Skills required:

• Administration of anti-neoplastic agents, port access, IV start skills, knowledge of Chemo/Immunotherapy side effects and how to manager

Support within the Department:

• Leadership – Manager, Supervisor
• RNs
• LPNs
• MAs
• MDs
• Lab on site
• Radiology on site

Technology/Equipment:

• EMR: EPIC/Encompass

Floating: If yes, where:

• No

Orientation (facility and unit):

• NEO
• Typically 1 week of unit orientation

Scheduling:

• Weekend rotation: none
• On call: If so, what is that schedule: none
• Holiday Expectations: closed on holidays
• Should approval of RTO go through manager or will you allow the interviewing team (if applicable) to approve time off on your behalf:
• Shift times: Monday – Friday, 0830-1700
