JRAD Position Supporting DHS Science and Technology

JRAD is seeking candidates for a contingent position supporting the DHS Science and Technology (S&T). This position is Washington DC/possibly hybrid.

Roles/Responsibilities:

• Advises senior leadership and program managers on strategic direction, aligning recommendations with current industry standards and emerging innovations within a specialized functional area.
• Provides high-level vision to shape objectives and outcomes for complex programs, projects, and organizational initiatives.
• Develops and guides functional procedures, processes, and policies based on deep subject-matter expertise.
• Leads and supports in-depth research, studies, and analyses to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
• Evaluates challenges and develops actionable, evidence-based solutions to address complex problems.
• Applies advanced principles, methodologies, and domain knowledge to design and implement specialized solutions.
• Contributes expertise across areas such as data analytics, economic and behavioral analysis, systems and network communications, process improvement, performance management, and regulatory compliance.

Required Skills and Education:

• Bachelor's degree at least 3 years' experience
• Systems Engineering (or technical) experience
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Preferred qualifications:
  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD)
  • Knowledge of Department of Homeland Security Acquisition and Systems Engineering policy

• DHS Suitability
• Secret
