Your skills in sign language interpretation will be highly valued as you work closely with educators to create an accessible and inclusive learning environment. Start as soon as possible and continue through May 21, 2027, with potential opportunities for planning days before or after the school year. The commitment is primarily full-time, offering at least 37.5 hours per week; however, candidates seeking part-time schedules may also be considered.

Key qualifications:

• Active Georgia Educator Certification for Sign Language Interpreters with an EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
• Alternatively, SLI Paras with close EIPA scores and a commitment to retesting will be considered for a transition path to full SLI
• Strong documentation skills, as daily service logs are required
• Willingness to discuss preferred age groups and prior experience during the interview process for optimal placement

In this role, you will:

• Provide accurate and effective sign language interpretation within a school district setting
• Collaborate with staff to support students’ access to curriculum and activities
• Maintain daily records of all services rendered
• Be adaptable as caseload and exact assignment may be determined after district conversation and personalized alignment with your expertise
