Legal Entity: AECOM Technical Services Inc Business Line: Transportation Work Location Model: On-Site Primary Location: US - Hunt Valley, MD - 4 North Park Compensation: USD 30 - USD 35 - hourly Job Description AECOM is seeking a Construction Inspector to support aviation projects, including airport runways, taxiways, terminals, and related infrastructure located in the Hunt Valley, MD area. This position involves on‑site inspection, documentation, and coordination to ensure construction work complies with project plans, specifications, and applicable aviation standards. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform daily field inspections on aviation construction projects (runways, taxiways, aprons, utilities) Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with contract documents, FAA standards, and safety requirements Review construction submittals, shop drawings, and materials for conformance with project specifications Document daily work activities, quantities, and site conditions through reports, logs, and photo documentation Track project progress against schedule and report delays or issues to project management Perform field measurements, material testing, and verify workmanship quality Coordinate with contractors, engineers, airport authorities, and stakeholders to resolve field issues Participate in meetings, including pre‑construction, progress, and safety meetings Assist with reviewing RFIs, change orders, and contractor pay quantities Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures and safety regulations, including use of PPE on active construction sites Set and manage project deadlines independently Support and train new employees in the field Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards, performance expectations, specifications, and applicable codes Perform daily field inspections and maintain accurate records Assist with punch lists, testing, and commissioning activities Monitor and report on quality assurance progress Contribute to documentation for area and equipment turnover Qualifications High School Diploma plus 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education Valid U.S Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.
