Staff Accountant I

Job Title: Staff Accountant I Location: Urbandale, IA 50323 (Onsite) Hire Type: Contract (6 months+) Job Responsibilities Perform disbursements, billing, applying payments and administrative system accounting reports and/or consolidated statements Analyze and maintain accounts and/or client insured records Prepare and analyze various accounting reports including variances, disbursement, billing, and statements; may ensure timely and accurate processing Perform variation and trend analysis for key accounts or reports; may process disbursements to insured records; may process billing and statement reports to clients or insured Assist with the development, implementation and documentation of internal and external accounting and operating policies, procedures and process improvements for general accounting functions Ensure compliance with corporate policies, carrier agreements, SOX procedures, SSAE16 procedures, tax regulations, local GAAP and US GAAP and local statutory regulations (as applicable) regarding financial matters. Required Skills Associate’s degree 1-3 years of experience Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with MS Excel What makes you stand out?
