Payroll ManagerLocation: Sterling, VA preferred; additional locations in Warrenton and WinchesterAssignment Type: Permanent HireCompensation: $100,000 – $120,000 / Annually + discretionary bonusWork Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PMBenefits: This position is eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k)Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and oversee the end-to-end payroll processEnsure payroll is processed accurately and on scheduleReview payroll prior to final processing and verify appropriate approvalsOversee earnings, deductions, taxes, overtime, bonuses, commissions, benefits, and other payroll-related transactionsManage payroll activity related to hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, and compensation changesEstablish and maintain payroll calendars, procedures, checklists, and internal controlsReconcile payroll-related general ledger accountsCoordinate payroll accruals, journal entries, payroll funding, and accounting requirementsSupport financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and audit requestsPartner with Human Resources on employee data, benefits, leave, onboarding, and offboardingWork closely with Operations to ensure accurate timekeeping, overtime, job information, and payroll inputsServe as the primary contact for payroll, tax, timekeeping, HRIS, and related vendorsManage payroll vendor performance and resolve system or service issuesLead payroll system updates, integrations, implementations, and testingServe as the internal subject matter expert for UKG payroll and timekeepingMaintain UKG configuration, workflows, earnings codes, deductions, and timekeeping rulesIdentify opportunities to improve automation, reporting, efficiency, and data accuracyOversee payroll tax filings, payments, reconciliations, and year-end reportingMaintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll requirementsHelp hire, train, supervise, and develop payroll staff as the team growsQualifications10+ years of progressive payroll experience requiredSignificant experience overseeing complex payroll operationsHands-on UKG payroll and timekeeping experience requiredUnion payroll experience requiredAddison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
