Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYThe primary purpose of this position is to complete the execution of all civil construction activities on assigned projects, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, on time, and in accordance with contract specifications and company policies. This role requires strong leadership, field oversight, coordination with subcontractors and project teams, and the ability to manage resources and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure all construction work is performed in compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standardsCoordinate daily activities of field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to meet project schedulesMonitor and report on project progress, productivity, and compliance with specificationsRead and interpret civil construction drawings, plans, and specificationsVerify that materials and work performed comply with the contract documentsTrack and manage equipment, manpower, and material needsAssist in developing look-ahead schedules and daily work plansProvide leadership and clear direction to field personnelCollaborate with project engineers, foremen, quality control, and safety personnelIdentify and resolve field conflicts or constructability issues with minimal disruptionMaintain accurate site records, including daily reports, timesheets, and logsEnforce company policies and procedures, including safety requirementsAll employees, current and former, must maintain confidentiality by not disclosing to others any confidential, proprietary, or trade secret information belonging to the CompanyResponsible and accountable for incumbent’s own personal safetyResponsible and accountable for the safety of all co-workers and others the incumbent encountersAuthorized and obligated to stop work on any task or series of tasks whenever an unsafe condition or situation is anticipated or observedComplies with all applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies and procedures, and is subject to appropriate disciplinary action (including dismissal) for failure to do soReports all violations of applicable laws, regulations, or Company policies and procedures promptly, and is subject to appropriate disciplinary action (including dismissal) for failure to do soPOSITION REQUIREMENTSA minimum of 10+ years of civil construction experience with at least 5 years in a supervisory or superintendent role is required. A degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred. The incumbent must also demonstrate:• Thorough knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and equipment• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents• Strong leadership and communication skills• Understanding of project scheduling and resource allocation• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and site safety best practices• Basic computer skills (email, Excel, and construction management software)• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and solve problems independentlyThis position requires excellent organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to make sound decisions in the field under pressure. Must be flexible to work extended hours, weekends, and travel to job sites as needed.Discretion, integrity, and confidentiality regarding Company operations and projects are essential to this role.The Company expects and requires incumbent and each of its other employees to observe and fulfill the above and all other safety responsibilities and actively work toward maintaining a safe workplace. PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTSThe incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation. The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment if required to work or visit the jobsite. This may include a hard hat, safety glasses, respirators, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, personal flotation devices, or other equipment required by the work performed and location the work is being done. Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods in a field environment and tolerate exposure to outdoor weather, dust, uneven terrain, and construction noise.The incumbent must possess the ability to remain calm during emergencies and respond appropriately as dictated by the circumstances of the incident and as directed by the Safety Representative or other management personnel.
