Travel Registered Nurse (RN) / Medical Surgical - Nights

Job Description:

The Eastern NM Travel Med Surg RN is responsible for providing care in a general medical surgical unit which includes some post-operative orthopedic and general surgery patients. The role requires floating to ICU for step-down assignments if needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care in a busy Med Surg unit with a quick patient turnover.
• Manage patient ratios of 1:6, occasionally 1:7, in a unit with 36 beds.
• Float to different units as necessary, primarily ICU for Med Surg overflow or step-down assignments.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Fingerprinting required for all NM travelers.
