ASSISTANT PROPERTY MANAGER

Location: Flora Waterset Apartments; Apollo Beach, FL Schedule: Full-time; Monday-Friday; Weekend availability required Hourly Rate: $26.00 - $28.00, based on experience Incentives: Commission eligibility Benefits: Health, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, PTO, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, paid parental leave, rent discounts, and more Position Requirements Education: High school diploma or GED required. Experience: Two or more years of residential property management experience or a related position in customer service, hospitality, or sales. Travel: Minimal local travel between assigned communities. Physical: Frequent walking, stairs, standing, climbing, crouching, kneeling, and reaching. Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40 pounds. Valid driver's license and reliable, personal vehicle required for travel between communities. Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation is a plus! We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Property Manager to join the team and play an important role in the successful lease-up and ongoing operations of this new community. This is a dynamic, people-focused role that blends customer service, leasing, accounting, and property operations. We're looking for someone who is warm and approachable, highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing a variety of priorities. You'll support rent collection, leasing and renewals, resident relations, administrative processes, and the day-to-day activities that keep the community running smoothly. What You’ll Do Support monthly rent collection, posting, and resident notifications Assist with delinquency management, move-out charges, deposit accounting, and reporting Conduct apartment tours and support leasing activities, including lead follow-up and application processing Help coordinate renewals and maintain accurate, organized resident files Enter, monitor, and follow up on service requests to help ensure a positive resident experience Contribute to marketing efforts, outreach, and online advertising Maintain renters insurance compliance and support community programs and activities Communicate professionally with residents, prospects, and team members Exercise sound judgment and act in the best interest of the community, residents, and Company What We’re Looking For Strong administrative, organizational, and follow-through skills Warm, friendly communication style with a genuine customer-service mindset Ability to connect with and build positive relationships with a wide range of personalities Previous experience in property management, hospitality, customer service, leasing or sales Comfort working in a fast-paced, new development environment where priorities can shift A team-oriented approach and willingness to jump in wherever needed Why Banner Property Management At Banner, we recognize that our business is about people, so we make people our priority.
