The Fall 2026 Transitional RN Residency for experienced RNs is now accepting applications. If offered, the residency is scheduled to start on November 16, 2026. This position is for experienced RN's wanting to go into an Emergency Care Residency with a minimum of 1 year of RN experience in an acute care hospital setting at Homestead Hospital only. Applications must be completed and submitted via the Internet only. Program availability is subject to change and will only run based on organizational needs. Register your interest in the event that an Emergency Care Residency takes place. Placement, interview, and location preferences are not guaranteed. The Registered Nurse is a licensed professional able to demonstrate the following core competencies: assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership and service. This course is designed to provide nurses with theoretical knowledge needed to provide holistic family-centered care to patients and family members and is targeted toward registered nurses who are new to emergency care nursing. Estimated pay range for this position is $38.87 - 50.14 / hour depending on experience.

Qualified candidates interested in the Emergency Residency Training Program must: Have a Current FL RN License Have a current BLS for Healthcare Provider until 6/2027 or later Have 1 year of current RN experience in a hospital setting (required) Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. All Associate Degree nurses hires accepted into the program must agree to achieve their BSN degree within 3 years of start date.
