MRI Tech Opportunity at Minneapolis VA Medical Center

MRI Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic imaging MRI services competently and professionally.
• Serve at assigned dates and times.
• Provide emergency coverage when short-staffed.
• Work in various departments including out-patient, inpatient, urgent care, and emergency room.
• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as MRI examinations.
• Ensure accurate patient positioning for quality diagnostic images.
• Collaborate with radiologists and physicians for accurate diagnosis.
• Deliver timely imaging services per established standards.
• Complete clinical reports and correspondence promptly.

MRI Tech Requirements

• Certification: Must be certified with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (MR).
• Technically proficient in required skills for an MR Tech.
• Education: Must have an academic degree from an accredited Radiology Educational program.
• Additional certification: Must have a current Basic Life Support certificate.
• Experience: Must have a minimum of six (6) months experience as an MRI tech.
