This state hospital delivers outpatient primary care services to adult patients within a structured clinical environment, operating as a Developmental Disabilities Hospital. The facility maintains established clinical protocols and on-site infrastructure to support consistent care delivery. On-site support staff includes MDs, APPs, registered nurses, and full behavioral health support to facilitate integrated, multidisciplinary care.

Augusta, Georgia offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of outdoor, cultural, and recreational activities suited to varied interests. The area features kayaking and paddling along the Savannah River and Augusta Canal, hiking and biking trails, and nature exploration at Phinizy Swamp Nature Park. The Riverwalk provides scenic walking paths, gardens, and picnic areas, while the Augusta Museum of History, Miller Theater, and local golf courses offer additional options during time away from assignment.

Clinicians will provide outpatient primary care services to an adult patient population at an on-site state hospital facility, working Monday through Friday on a 40-hour weekly schedule with no call and no weekend requirements. Clinical responsibilities include chronic care management, medication management, minor acute issue evaluation, and wellness checks. Full behavioral health and medical support staff, including MDs, APPs, and RNs, are available on-site to facilitate coordinated care delivery.
