General Manager- Fire Protection

The successful candidate will be both an operational leader and a business builder. They should be comfortable managing budgets and financial performance, coordinating warehouse and project logistics, communicating with general contractors and executive stakeholders, and recruiting experienced fire protection professionals.

• Lead the startup and development of a new regional facility.

• Establish efficient processes for staffing, project support, logistics, safety, and administration.

• Oversee day-to-day branch operations and ensure resources are aligned with current and upcoming projects.

• Monitor operational performance, expenses, productivity, and financial results.

• Manage warehouse, equipment, materials, vehicles, and other branch resources.

• Implement company policies, operating procedures, and safety expectations.

• Recruit, interview, hire, train, and develop branch personnel.

• Build a capable team of fire protection, project management, field, warehouse, and administrative professionals.

• Recruit experienced industry leaders as the branch expands.

• Oversee active and upcoming fire protection projects within the region.

• Coordinate with project teams to support schedules, manpower, materials, and field execution.

• Maintain productive relationships with general contractors, project executives, clients, vendors, and internal leadership.

• Manage administrative and financial responsibilities associated with the branch.

• Support budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and expense control.

• Obtain, maintain, and monitor contractor licenses and registrations across multiple states.

• 5+ years of management or leadership experience.

• Experience in fire protection, fire sprinkler, fire alarm, specialty contracting, or construction operations.

• Previous experience leading a branch, general operation, regional team, or multi-site business.

• Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and manage teams.

• Familiarity with contractor licensing, responsible managing employee requirements, and compliance across multiple states.

• Strong understanding of construction operations, project logistics, customer relationships, and financial administration.

• NICET Level III certification in fire alarm or sprinkler systems is preferred.
