The Day Habilitation Director leads and manages local community and specialized day habilitation programs, ensuring high-quality service delivery and effective support for clients. This role balances supervisory and administrative responsibilities with daily direct client interaction while managing a medium-sized team of 6 to 15 staff members. The director plays a key role in program oversight, staff development, compliance, and stakeholder communication, contributing to the growth and expansion of services within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee local community and specialized day habilitation programs
• Manage and support a team of 6-15 staff members
• Conduct client assessments and coordinate individualized services
• Monitor compliance with regulations and organizational policies
• Manage program budgets and allocate resources effectively
• Develop and deliver staff training and professional development
• Ensure quality assurance and continuous program improvement
• Communicate with stakeholders to maintain strong partnerships
• Develop, plan and implement annual goals and objectives to achieve the successful

outcomes the program, drive the strategic direction and growth of the program.

. Monitor the program activities on a regular basis and conduct an annual program

evaluation according to a determined framework, plan.

. Engage and participate in an onboarding process that includes collaboration and

partnership with recruitment, and selection of qualified candidates, ensure all

staff members receive orientation and appropriate and timely orientation, and

hands on training in accordance with organizational standards.

Serve as a program representative, spokesperson and advocate for participants, engage clients, community members and other stakeholders to gain community support for the program and to solicit input to improve the program.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years in day habilitation or a related field
• Master’s degree in human services, social work, or disability studies or any related studies.
