As a valued educator, you will work full-time during the academic year (August to June), serving in one of four available roles—either in a self-contained K-2 environment or within inclusion classrooms at the elementary or middle school level. Key Qualifications:

• Valid, active Special Education Teaching Certification for Virginia (required)
• Ability and willingness to work onsite; remote options are not available
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs and differentiating instruction for diverse learners
• Passion for fostering student growth in both self-contained and inclusion settings
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, staff, and administration

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to students with varying needs according to their IEPs
• Create a supportive and structured classroom atmosphere that encourages academic and social success
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion students
• Collect and report progress data to assist with planning and compliance
• Participate in parent meetings and IEP team discussions to ensure coordinated support
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold professional standards in all interactions
