Valet/Shuttle Driver - $22.50/hour (Part-time)

Valet/Driver Position

The Valet/Driver serves as the first point of contact for guests, delivering a warm welcome and ensuring a seamless arrival, stay, and departure experience. This role is responsible for efficiently providing guest transportation and bell services. The valet/driver supports the overall guest experience by safely transporting guests with shuttle buses/SUVs/golf carts as well as assisting guests with luggage.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide a warm, professional, and welcoming experience for all guests and colleagues, consistently upholding service standards at all times.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance, grooming, and adherence to hotel policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Safely handle, load, unload, store, and deliver guest luggage and personal items.
  • Escort guests to rooms, explain hotel amenities, and ensure they understand all room features.
  • Maintain a consistent presence at the front door, greeting guests, and assisting with arrivals and departures.
  • Support the Front Desk with check-ins, check-outs, guest requests, and accurate information delivery.
  • Coordinate transportation services, including shuttle operations, golf carts, and private transfers.
  • Assist Adventure Concierge and Ski Valet operations.
  • Maintain Adventure Concierge, lobby, porte cochere, and guest pathway appearance and report or resolve hazards.
  • Maintain and oversee the condition, safety, and scheduling of resort vehicles.

Education/Experience

  • High school or equivalent (GED) education required.
  • Must possess a valid US driver's license.
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office 365) required; experience with OPERA Cloud, Nuvola, and EZFacility preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours or more in length.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments and locations of the hotel on a timely basis.
  • Must be able to easily use golfcarts to facilitate luggage transfer for guests.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
  • Must be able to bend, squat and lift up to 75 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Must be able to maneuver carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.

Work Environment

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions; however, must be able to work in extreme temperatures, i.e. The Front Drive (-2F) or Golfcart operations (+90F), possibly for one hour or more.
  • Must be able to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other departments of the hotel on a timely basis.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a stressful environment, communicate with others, effectively handle/ assist customers and accept constructive criticism from supervisors.
  • Most tasks are performed in a team environment with the Front Office Manager acting as the primary directive provider based on operationally and financially backed information. There is minimal direct supervision.
  • Perform any general cleaning tasks in public areas using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards.
  • Ensure that all operations departments and employees comply, on a consistent basis, with all Fire Department Safety codes and OSHA guidelines.

Employer-provided Basic Life Insurance and Basic AD&D are provided after 90 days of employment. 401K eligibility is available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment, part-time employees can qualify to participate in a 401(k) plan after two consecutive years of working at least 500 hours.
