This position is eligible for a $2,000 hiring bonus See notes for eligibility and conditions ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Conduct nursing assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and evaluations in line with ANA's Public Health Nursing Standards. Arrange and lead community health clinics and health education classes. Support public health core functions, prioritizing services that meet community needs. Administer adult and child vaccines, provide STI/HIV testing, manage TB testing, and more. Provide Ryan White case management, maternal and child home visitation, lactation counseling, and LT-101 reviews. Collaborate with the nurse manager and public health response coordinator on emergency preparedness activities. PREFERENCES/*AGENCY REQUIREMENTS: A valid driver's license is required. RN License is required. KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of laws, principles, practices, and techniques of professional nursing. Knowledge of the maintenance of medical records, charts, reports, and observations. Knowledge of the principles of the nursing process and scientific process. Knowledge of applying medical diagnosis and treatment to patient care. Knowledge of scientific concepts as a basis for decision-making. Knowledge of evaluation services and programs according to standards. Knowledge of work management and leadership theory, and practice. Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws pertaining to healthcare. Knowledge of public health core functions and essential services. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing Experience: 0-2 years of progressive work experience in Nursing with acquired knowledge at the level of an LPN Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming Education & Experience Substitution: 3-5 years of progressive work experience in Nursing with acquired knowledge at the level of an LPN PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Lift medical equipment of varying sizes and weights up to about 50 lbs. Climb stairs to patient homes and drive long distances. Travel throughout the state and to national conferences if requested. Work evenings, nights, and /or weekends when the situation requires it. This position is located in the Public Health Nursing Section. BLS/CPR for Healthcare Professionals is required.
