About the Role

The Company is in search of a Head of Sourcing & Production to lead and take full ownership of the company's sourcing and production strategy. This senior leadership role is pivotal in a small, agile organization, and the successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end process, from building and managing factory relationships to ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of high-volume apparel programs. The role demands a hands-on approach, the ability to operate independently, and a strong background in apparel sourcing and production, particularly within the off-price retail channel. The Head of Sourcing & Production will also be tasked with negotiating key vendor agreements, driving process efficiencies, and proactively addressing any production, quality, or delivery issues. Applicants for the Head of Sourcing & Production position at the company should have significant experience in the field, with a preference for those who have previously worked in a leadership capacity. A deep understanding of overseas factory management, sourcing, costing, and negotiations is essential, as is a strong network of relationships with apparel factories and suppliers, particularly in Asia. The role requires fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese, and a background in menswear is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, highly hands-on, and comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills are a must, as is the ability to work onsite in New York City five days a week.
