Inspector II (Boiler).

Overview This position is open to current residents of Colorado. It is primarily remote but requires regular travel to job sites. The employee may also be required to report to the office address. Responsibilities Ensure the safe installation and operation of boilers and pressure vessels by enforcing pertinent codes, statutes, and regulations. Serve as a fully operational inspector of new and existing boilers and pressure vessels. Identify specific statutory, regulatory, and code violations. Ensure that noted violations are brought to satisfactory resolution. Investigate boiler accidents to determine the cause and recommend corrective action to prevent recurrence. Prepare to attend the National Board Inservice Commission school and take the National Board exam. Minimum Qualifications Current, valid Colorado State certification or license in a trade related to the work assigned to the position. Four (4) years of experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position. Ability to pass a thorough background check prior to employment. Must retain a valid Colorado Driver's License and pass a motor vehicle report. Must pass the Inservice Inspector Examination from the National Board of Boiler Inspectors within one year of hire. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat. Experience in HVAC, boilers, plumbing, or heating. Required Competencies Professional experience specifically related to boiler operation, maintenance, installation or inspection. Technical decision-making particularly in regard to compliance and regulatory codes. Comprehension and application of rules, regulations, and codes related to duties. Ability to communicate regulations and technical information to customers and stakeholders. Self-motivating and detail oriented. Effective overall communication. Conditions of Employment Must be a Colorado resident at the time of application. Must pass a thorough background check. Must retain a valid Colorado Driver's License. Must drive CDLE vehicles and operate relevant equipment. Must pass the Inservice Inspector Examination within one year.
