Job Description Collaborate with care team members to ensure consistency and quality of care, promote productive employee relations, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Perform a variety of basic patient care activities under the direction of a registered nurse, and report changes in patient medical and/or emotional condition. Assist patients with activities of daily living, including feeding, bathing, toileting and personal hygiene. Follow all departmental policies, procedures and objectives; maintain safety, environmental and infection control standards. Show sensitivity to patient comfort and privacy, answer patient and family questions, and maintain confidentiality. As required, perform general clerical duties such as answering phones, call lights, and greeting visitors. Participate in workshops, educational programs, in‑service meetings and review current literature to enhance personal growth. Perform other tasks as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Graduation from a school of practical nursing OR completion of one of the following: Certified PCA/PCT Program; Certified Nurse Assistant Program or equivalent; Medical Assistant Program; EMT program; Phlebotomy training program (six months direct patient care experience preferred).
