Construction Surveyor

The Surveyor will report to the Project Superintendent and work closely with and support the operations team and interact with a variety of staff at all levels, while remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Location Grand Rivers, KY Job Title Construction Surveyor Salary Competitive compensation package based on experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assists with survey computations and data collection including construction layout calculations, grade sheet computation, topographical/volume analysis, and project data conversion/transformation. Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and as‑built surveys. Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain. Oversee survey aspects of civil engineering projects and/or directing preparation of all types of survey plans. Conducting plan research and review. Perform fieldwork associated with land surveying. Conduct business with 100% integrity and professionalism. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience with heavy civil projects and structures. Experience must show current proficiency operating a robotic tool station, GPS, and level. Experience with AutoCAD. Knowledge of geological description principles and methods. Knowledge of applicable laws, legal codes, and government regulation. Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be able to work independently. Must be detail oriented, organized, focused, self‑motivated, possess good work ethic and be a team player. Ability to travel will be required. Valid Driver’s License required, and candidate must pass and be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report background check. Physical Requirements Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. Must be able to work outdoors on various terrain in a wide range of weather conditions. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
