- Design and provide educationally relevant speech-language therapy aligned with IEP goals.
- Conduct screenings (Child Find, new students, designated grades) and interpret results.
- Serve as case manager for identified speech-only students; prepare reports, prior written notices, EMIS coding, and other required documentation.
- Communicate evaluation results clearly to families and staff, both orally and in writing.
- Implement evidence-based treatment techniques for speech-language disorders (expressive/receptive language, voice, articulation, fluency, pragmatics, auditory/visual processing).
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities.
- Document therapy progress and modify interventions as needed.
- Help develop educational goals that are measurable, attainable, and relevant.
- Participate in team meetings and comprehensive assessments to plan appropriate services.
- Use positive behavioral interventions to support functional skills and student independence.
- Valid Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board license.
- Ohio Department of Education Pupil Services license as a school speech-language pathologist.
- Knowledge of evidence-based speech-language therapy techniques.
- Experience with IEP development, case management, and progress documentation.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to confidentiality, high performance, and professional ethics.
- Satisfactory fingerprinting and criminal records check results (provided for free by MCESC!).
