Job Overview Heavy Equipment Shop Service Technician – On Site, Glen Allen, VA. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing heavy machinery such as truck mounted aerial platforms, digger derricks, and cranes to support Terex’s expanding service network across the United States. Responsibilities Adhere to Terex safety policies and procedures. Follow and promote the Terex Way values. Perform track work on a wide array of equipment, including truck mounted aerial platforms, digger derricks, and cranes. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical systems. Convey technical information to team members as needed. Meet or exceed training requirements for self‑development during the year. Utilize current technology to support everyday work functions. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Basic set of mechanical tools (sockets, wrenches, and battery‑operated impact gun). Minimum of 2 years of experience working with heavy machinery and/or utility equipment. Willingness to submit for pre‑employment background check and drug screening. Other Skills & Abilities 5+ years in a similar field. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Basic computer skills. Experience with utility‑type equipment and brands such as Genie and/or JLG. Extensive knowledge of Terex products (e.g., Hi‑Ranger, Telelect). Fluid Power Society certification is a plus. Team‑based, safety‑focused work ethic. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Working Conditions Stand on concrete for 8+ hours per shift. Climb ladders and work over and under vehicles; tolerance for heights is required. Compensation $32–$40 per hour, based on factors such as education, work experience, and certifications.
