Shore United Bank is seeking a full-time Compliance Specialist to join our team. The Compliance Specialist II plays a key role in supporting the Bank's Compliance Management Program by conducting independent compliance monitoring, testing, research, reporting, and advisory activities. This position helps ensure the Bank adheres to applicable consumer protection laws, banking regulations, and internal policies. Responsibilities include reviewing and maintaining compliance policies and procedures, assessing regulatory compliance risks, preparing reports and recommendations, coordinating compliance training initiatives, supporting committee activities, and assisting with regulatory examinations and internal or external audits. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex regulations while partnering effectively with business units to promote a culture of compliance throughout the organization.

• Performs assigned compliance monitoring and testing, including identifying applicable requirements, selecting samples, documenting work performed, communicating exceptions, and tracking corrective actions.
• Assists with developing, updating, and reviewing Bank policies, procedures, forms, disclosures, and other materials for regulatory alignment.
• Research regulatory requirements and provides practical guidance to business lines on routine compliance matters.
• Monitors regulatory developments and assists with evaluating and communicating potential impacts to the Bank.
• Supports regulatory examinations and internal or external audits by coordinating documentation, responding to requests, and tracking remediation activities.
• Supports Compliance Committee administration by preparing materials, documenting minutes, and monitoring follow-up items.

• Coordinates assigned compliance training activities, including course assignments, completion monitoring, and record retention.
• Supports the Community Reinvestment Act program through data collection, documentation, performance monitoring, and community development activity tracking.
• Assists with compliance risk assessments and other departmental risk identification activities.
• Collaborates with business lines to resolve compliance questions and escalates significant or unresolved matters.
• Maintains accurate and complete compliance records and prepares assigned reports in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates compliance awareness by completing all required regulatory and compliance training on or before established deadlines and supporting practices that promote risk management, safety, and regulatory adherence.

• Performs all other duties as assigned.
• Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g., Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, SAFE Act, etc.; ensures that the office and all personnel adhere to the same.
• Participates in required training sessions, including training for compliance with BSA/AML policies and procedures.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• Full-time.
• Non-exempt.
• Days of Work: Monday-Friday.

Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in bank compliance, banking operations, lending, deposits, audit, risk management, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience researching requirements, reviewing documentation, or performing monitoring or quality-control activities.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of consumer protection laws and federal and state banking regulations.
• Experience with compliance monitoring, testing, regulatory change management, or examination support.
• Maintains working knowledge of applicable lending, deposit, and consumer protection requirements, including Regulations B, C, CC, DD, E, P, V, and Z; fair lending requirements; the Fair Credit Reporting Act; the Flood Disaster Protection Act; the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act; and other applicable federal and state requirements.
• Independently applies regulatory requirements to assigned monitoring, testing, research, disclosures, forms, advertisements, products, and procedures and escalates complex interpretations or significant concerns as appropriate.
• Strong analytical, writing, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently within established procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with compliance, loan origination, or core banking systems.

Travel
Ability to travel within the Bank's footprint for meetings, training, or other business needs on an as-needed basis. Travel requirements may vary depending on workload, team support needs, and business activities.

Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. Work may be performed across multiple offices, branches, or other business locations based on operational needs. The role involves frequent interaction with multiple stakeholders and may require managing competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

Physical Demands
This position requires the ability to perform routine office tasks, including extended periods of viewing computer screens and reviewing detailed information. Frequent use of standard office equipment and the ability to lift or move materials, generally up to 20 pounds, may be required. Occasional movement between office, branch, or other business locations may be required.

Compensation:

• The pay range for this position is $26.00 to $40.00 hourly.
• Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on factors such as relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, licensure requirements and/or skill level, and will be finalized at the time of offer.
