1st Shift Sit Down Forklift Operator

Job Description

The Sit‑Down Forklift Operator will be responsible for moving, staging, and organizing materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting daily warehouse operations. This role works closely with the Shipping/Receiving team and the General Manager, requiring a balance of equipment operation, material handling, and basic documentation tasks to keep production running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update inventory records accurately.
• Support the General Manager and production floor with various tasks.
• Operate the sit-down forklift for approximately 70% of the time.
• Perform general production work for the remaining 30% of the time.

Essential Skills

• Experience in a production environment.
• Proficiency in inventory control and management.
• Ability to operate a sit-down forklift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, and other inventory management systems.
• Experience with work orders, purchase orders, and bills of lading.
• Strong organizational and scheduling skills.

Work Environment

This role is based in a production, office, and warehouse environment. The workspace is non-climate controlled, requiring adaptability to varying temperatures. 8a-5pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of FORT WORTH, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
