Academic Tutor and Mentor

As an Academic Tutor and Mentor with City Year, you’ll serve full-time in a partner public school, providing individualized and small-group academic support in core subjects, reinforcing classroom instruction, and tracking student progress. You will build strong, caring relationships with students, coach social-emotional skills, and help create a positive, inclusive classroom environment. Working on a diverse AmeriCorps team, you’ll collaborate with teachers, participate in training and professional development, and support school-wide activities that promote student engagement and success.
