PARK AIDE (SEASONAL) - SAN JOAQUIN RIVER CONSERVANCY / RIVER PARKWAY


The reporting location is the San Joaquin River Parkway in Fresno, CA. This position will work under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer.

The Park Aide will assist with visitor services and property operations and maintenance. This position requires the capability to maintain a good attitude in a demanding and changing environment and develop strong organizational, interpersonal and excellent communication skills.

Possession of a valid Class C driver's license is required. You must answer the questions addressing your driver's license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver's license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.

The selected candidate may be required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.

Working Conditions


The employee required to work outdoors, which may be characterized by difficult accessibility, rough terrain, exposure to vectors and allergens, and hot, cold, or wet conditions. Work may involve some exposure to aggressive visitors and standing for long periods of time (up to 2 hours) to perform the duties associated with the job.

Department Information
The San Joaquin River Conservancy is a regionally governed agency created to develop and manage the San Joaquin River Parkway, a planned 22-mile natural and recreational area in the floodplain extending from Friant Dam to Highway 99. The Conservancy's mission includes acquiring approximately 5,900 acres from willing sellers; developing, operating, and managing those lands for public access and recreation; and protecting, enhancing, and restoring riparian and floodplain habitat.

Willingness to work at various locations within the San Joaquin River Parkway. Willingness to work on Saturdays, Sundays, and at odd or irregular hours and under adverse weather conditions. Perform varied manual tasks. Interact with the public. Required to wear a Conservancy polo shirt during working hours, which will be in good condition at the start of the workday.
