Principal Computational Biologist
Virtual Vocations Inc
Leading the scientific development of a functional-ranking system, the full-time Principal Computational Biologist will validate evidence for rankings, design precise scientific labels, and ensure defensibility of rankings in a fully remote environment. Key responsibilities Own the evidence that establishes the correctness of rankings and build benchmarks for validation Collaborate with commercial and product teams to define and refine scientific labels for ranking Ensure that all rankings are defensible and support decision-making on label investments Required qualifications PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, genetics, systems biology, or a closely related quantitative field 5+ years of relevant experience in designing evaluations for complex problems without clear standards Strong understanding of functional genomics and disease biology Proficiency in Python for data analysis and validation Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
