The Business Development Manager is responsible for achieving sustainable year-over-year sales revenue growth aligned with Applied Motion Products corporate business goals through developing strong relationships with key customer decision makers in the various segments of industry targeted with the Applied Motion Products’ product portfolio. This position requires a self-motivated and entrepreneurial-driven individual with the ability to focus on “Big Picture” ideas and strategies with day-to-day effective execution. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Achieve revenue growth and margin contribution targets set by the Applied Motion Products business plan and the Vice President of Sales/Director of Business Development Develop new business opportunities with large, key direct OEM customers Leverage the full range of products available to us including Applied Motion standard and customized products; motors, drives, and the extended range of products available through our JV partner Moons’; Gears, linear actuators, slotless/coreless motors and others Coordinate with Applied Motion Products internal team to keep the sales cycle moving efficiently Requirements Knowledge of Applied Motion Products industry segment targets as well as the key players in those segments. Experience in an applications engineering/business development role selling motion control, drives, and or automation products Ability to travel Proven ability to penetrate, develop, and close large OEM opportunities Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a comparable field Strong networking ability with major customers and demonstrated success with business development Have 4+ years of work experience in selling high tech motion control solutions and or similar products 2+ years as a business developer and/or salesperson with strong industry knowledge in relation to the machinery builders Knowledge of motion control and industrial automation Experience working with customers on quotes, proposals and solutions development TRAVEL: This job requires frequent travel up to 50% #J-18808-Ljbffr Applied Motion Products
