Dump Truck Driver

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Dump Truck Driver to haul and deliver materials such as gravel, asphalt, millings, and dirt to and from construction sites. This role plays a critical part in supporting our field operations and requires strong driving skills, familiarity with jobsite safety, and the ability to operate dump trucks in both on-road and off-road conditions. Key Responsibilities Operate a dump truck safely and efficiently on roadways and construction sites Haul and deliver materials to various job sites, plants, and disposal facilities Dump materials at designated locations while ensuring even, safe distribution Perform daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections; report mechanical issues promptly Maintain accurate delivery logs, timecards, and truck condition reports Secure loads properly and ensure they remain within legal weight limits Follow traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies at all times Communicate clearly with dispatchers, foremen, and site personnel regarding timing and drop locations Assist with loading materials when needed; may involve light labor duties when not driving Keep assigned vehicle clean, fueled, and well‑maintained Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Valid CDL Class A or B (based on truck type) with clean driving record 2+ years of dump truck driving experience preferred Familiarity with hauling asphalt, gravel, or other construction materials is a plus Experience with manual transmission and off‑road operation preferred Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices Ability to read maps, understand directions, and follow delivery schedules Strong work ethic, reliability, and communication skills Ability to work long hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed Must be willing to travel overnight when projects are outside the local area Physical Requirements Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods: Constantly Moving about to accomplish tasks at a worksite or moving from one worksite to another: Constantly Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, such as stooping, kneeling, or crouching: Constantly Adjusting, moving and lifting objects in all directions: Constantly Talking and hearing to communicate with others: Constantly Seeing to perform job duties at close range, such as monitors or screens: Rarely Seeing to perform job duties at a distance, such as driving or operating equipment: Occasionally Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers: Constantly Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like: Occasionally Operating machinery and/or power tools: Constantly Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment: Constantly The ability to travel regionally or nationally: Never Physical Demands Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing: Constantly Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds: Constantly Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds: Constantly Heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 pounds or more: Occasionally Working Conditions Low temperatures: Occasionally High temperatures: Occasionally Outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind: Occasionally Noisy environments: Occasionally Hazardous conditions: Rarely Shift work, to include overnight work: Occasionally Pave America and its companies offers a comprehensive, competitive, and inclusive set of health, financial and other benefits that support your total well‑being.
