Requirements

• 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
• No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
• No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
• No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
• Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Vacancy description

Operate long-haul dry van freight nationwide while joining HMD’s driver-focused OTR team in Waldorf, MD. Run consistent interstate lanes, handle pickups and deliveries on schedule, and maintain professional communication with dispatch. HMD provides modern tractors (under 3 years) with APUs, inverters and sleepers, in-house maintenance, pay starting at 65¢/mi (avg ~2,500 mi/wk) and bonuses for safe driving and clean inspections.

Your Responsibilities:

• Safely operate assigned tractor-trailer on long-haul routes and comply with federal hours-of-service and ELD rules.
• Perform pre/post-trip inspections and complete accurate logs and delivery paperwork.
• Coordinate with dispatch on routing and load details.

Qualifications:

• Valid CDL-A and at least 12 months of verifiable experience.
• Commitment to safety and professional customer service.
