Staff Accountant

Job Description Job Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to prepare financial records and preparing and filing payroll, and sales and income tax returns for their clients! This is a full-time contract-to-hire opportunity where you will earn a starting salary up to $70,000, based on your experience. You will work Monday – Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. This position is 100% in the office. To qualify for the Staff Accountant position, you must have previous experience in accounting. In addition, we require: Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in accounting is a plus Experience with income tax return preparation is a plus Prior experience in a public accounting firm is a plus Knowledge of QuickBooks / other accounting software Strong communication skills Strong analytical skills Problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize and multi-task Strong attention to detail Your responsibilities will include preparing financial records. Some of your other daily responsibilities will be: Preparing accounting records Preparing financial statements and other financial reports Running payroll for multiple organizations Filing quarterly payroll tax reports Making tax deposits Filing sales tax returns Assisting with income tax preparation Other duties as assigned If you are detail-oriented and seek the opportunity to multi-task, then please submit your resume for immediate and confidential consideration.
