Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU/CCU Night position at a smaller independent community hospital in Colorado, requiring Day 0 CVICU experience and a minimum of 3 years of critical care experience.

Details

• Work setting is a smaller independent community hospital located on the I-70 corridor between Denver and Grand Junction, CO
• Unit covers both the CVICU and CCU, with float coverage to Acute Care/Med Surg as needed
• Facility has 2 Cath Labs, including 1 Hybrid Cath Lab
• 12-hour night shifts (1900–0730) with weekend rotation required
• Call rotation required: 1 call shift per 2-week period, if requested due to staffing needs
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CO RN license or compact RN license currently in good standing (Nursys verification required)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum 3 years of RN critical care experience required
• Day 0 CVICU experience required
• Strong CVICU clinical skills required
• Proof of flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Date of birth (DOB) or Social Security Number (SSN) required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidate's permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
• Colorado CAPS (background check) requirement applies and may take up to two weeks to obtain — candidates should plan accordingly
• Facility-owned housing (studio and 1-bedroom apartments) may be available for rent directly through the facility during the assignment, located approximately half a block from the hospital
• Holiday coverage expectations should be discussed during the interview process
