Contract | Nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Block scheduling is not guaranteed and is subject to change

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 64-bed Emergency Department serving a diverse patient population including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients
• Manage and treat high-acuity diagnoses including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Operate specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun as needed
• Provide care to all assigned patients, including SANE patients, in accordance with facility expectations
• Float to other units as required
• Charge nurse capability highly preferred

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License (verified and in good standing)
• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department experience, including some pediatric (PEDS) experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
• Locals are welcome to apply (local rate applies for candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge nurse experience in an emergency department setting
• Experience caring for psychiatric patients in an ED environment
• Familiarity with high-acuity trauma and cardiac arrest protocols
