Remote Computer Support Specialist - IT Help Desk

## About the Role

FunCode is looking for a reliable and tech savvy Computer Support Specialist to provide day to day technical assistance to users. This is a _remote_ role for someone who is comfortable troubleshooting common computer and software problems, communicating clearly with users, and keeping support requests organized.

You don't need to be a senior engineer. We're looking for someone dependable, patient, responsive, and comfortable working independently from a computer.

## Responsibilities

• Respond to technical support requests through chat, email, and support tickets

• Troubleshoot Windows, software, browser, login, and connectivity issues

• Help users with password resets and account access problems

• Assist with software installation, configuration, and updates

• Troubleshoot basic VPN, network, printer, and _remote_ access issues

• Document problems, solutions, and support activity

• Escalate complex technical issues when necessary

• Follow up with users to make sure their issues are resolved

• Maintain clear and professional communication with users and team members

## Requirements

• Previous experience in IT support, help desk, technical support, or a similar role

• Good understanding of Windows and common desktop applications

• Comfortable troubleshooting software and basic networking issues

• Strong written and spoken English

• Reliable internet connection and personal computer

• Good communication and problem solving skills

• Ability to work independently in a _remote_ environment

• Reliable and responsive during agreed working hours

## Nice to Have

• Experience with Microsoft 365

• Active Directory or user account management experience

• Experience with Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk, or similar ticketing systems

• Familiarity with VPNs and _remote_ desktop tools

• Basic knowledge of networking and cybersecurity
