Registered Nurse - High Risk Labor & Delivery

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) with every other weekend and holidays required.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our High Risk Labor & Delivery team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional skills in handling high acuity patients and demonstrate a strong ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities will include providing care throughout the delivery process and continuing care for newborns until transfer to postpartum.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with high-risk deliveries and provide newborn care, including assessments and necessary interventions.
• Circulate during C-sections and provide support in the delivery room as needed.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies as required.
• Ensure compliance with AWHONN guidelines and best practices for maternal and neonatal care.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes.
• Float to postpartum and antepartum units as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a high-risk labor and delivery setting.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required; ACLS and AWHONN certifications preferred.
• Active compact RN license in hand at the time of submission.
• Current supervisory references are required with application.
• Must pass clinical review with no exceptions.
