Quality Assurance Technician - 2nd Shift

Quality Assurance Technician

The Quality Assurance Technician tests and inspects materials and products at various stages of the production process in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of the pre-manufacture inspection process during and after production to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Accurately enter production and quality control information into the computer system.
• Identify, document, and report quality issues to the Production or QA Manager.
• Identify opportunities to improve materials, processes, and products.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow all published and posted safety standards.

Other Required Qualifications

• Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and/or production drawings.
• Ability to perform analytical and mathematical functions.
• Basic understanding of test measurements.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience performing concrete testing.

Physical Requirements

Ability to move a minimum of 50 lbs.; spatial awareness and depth perception; ability to walk, climb, bend at the waist, reach, use hand tools with force, and project your voice.

Work Environment

Work is performed year-round in various weather conditions, including Midwest and Northeast climates. The environment may include dirt, dust, noise from heavy machinery and vehicles, vibrations, loud noises, little to no climate control, varying levels of lighting, stairs, and narrow walkways.
