Job Title

Nuclear Medicine Technologist

South Charleston, WV | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM | On-call rotation every 4th weekend (Friday 4:30 PM – Monday 7:00 AM) and one weekday call shift per week when not on weekend call

Key Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine imaging studies including cardiac, HIDA, gastric emptying, lung scans, thyroid uptake, and tilt studies, averaging 12–15 scans per day
• Operate department equipment including Siemens E-cam and Philips Brightview gamma cameras across a 4-room department
• Perform IV starts as required for patient preparation and study administration
• Perform EKG monitoring in support of cardiac imaging procedures
• Utilize EMR (Meditech Expanse) and PACS (AGFA IMPAX) systems for documentation and image management
• Participate in department-specific orientation and adhere to all radiation safety protocols

Required Qualifications

• ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) or NMTCB certification required
• West Virginia State Licensure required
• BLS certification required
• Demonstrated experience with IV starts and EKG
• Candidate must supply their own radiation dosimetry badge (facility does not provide)
• Valid, unexpired driver's license required — copy must be submitted with application

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Siemens E-cam or Philips Brightview gamma camera systems
• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse EMR and AGFA IMPAX PACS platforms
• Experience in a high-volume nuclear medicine department
