Pulmonologist

Newport Mesa Pulmonary Group, based in Orange County, California, is the premier Hoag-affiliated pulmonary subspecialty practice. We provide comprehensive care across the full spectrum of pulmonary diseases, including lung cancer, interstitial lung disease (ILD), pulmonary hypertension (PH), asthma, COPD, and sleep disorders. Our practice features subspecialty programs in Interventional Pulmonology, Pulmonary Hypertension, Advanced Obstructive Lung Disease, and ILD. Diagnostic infrastructure includes a dedicated PFT laboratory with same-day full PFT availability and cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET). We maintain close integration with an accredited sleep center providing home sleep apnea testing within one week and in-lab polysomnography within two to three weeks. Clinical services are supported by dedicated thoracic radiologists, thoracic pathologists, and thoracic surgeons. The Hoag system is a comphrensive cancer center (NCCN), operates an active abdominal transplant program, advanced mechanical circulatory support (LVAD/RVAD), and is developing a cardiac transplantation program. Role Description We are seeking a full-time Pulmonologist for a blended outpatient and inpatient practice across our Newport Beach, Irvine, and Tustin office locations with hospitals located in Irvine and Newport Beach. Clinical responsibilities include outpatient evaluation and longitudinal management of general and complex pulmonary conditions, ordering and interpreting pulmonary diagnostics, and providing inpatient pulmonary consultations at Hoag Hospital. No critical care coverage is required, though optional ICU shifts over the weekend are available. Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Disease. Valid, unrestricted California medical license (or eligibility). Demonstrated clinical competence in general pulmonary medicine and diagnostic interpretation.
