Job Description

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will utilize hand and power tools to complete assembly and disassembly tasks. You will be responsible for disassembling industrial-sized construction equipment such as ready mix trucks, excavators, drill rigs, cranes, and forklifts. Maintenance tasks include preventive maintenance, rebuilds, tear downs, troubleshooting, motor swaps, and fuel pump rebuilds. The role requires the ability to lift 50 pounds and work both indoors in a shop and outdoors in the yard. You will follow and promote safety rules and practices, clean the yard area to ensure a safe and workable space, and report any problems or repair issues to your supervisor or manager.

Responsibilities

• Utilize hand and power tools for assembly/disassembly tasks.
• Disassemble and maintain industrial-sized construction equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, rebuilds, tear downs, and troubleshooting.
• Conduct motor swaps and fuel pump rebuilds.
• Lift 50 pounds and work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
• Promote and follow safety rules and practices.
• Clean yard area to maintain safety and functionality.
• Report storage, parts, or malfunction problems to the supervisor.
• Assess necessary repairs to fleet vehicles.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance.
• Report to the Shop Manager for daily repair schedules.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with diesel engines and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics.
• Experience with heavy and construction equipment maintenance.
• Knowledge of drill rig operations and maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with diesel engine rebuilds is advantageous.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Land O Lakes, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
