Land Surveyor - Field

Job Description Land Surveyor – Field ABD Engineers & Surveyors, LLP is a local Civil Engineering and Land Surveying company that was established in 1987 - we are looking for an energetic, conscientious and detail-oriented individual who enjoys making a difference, being part of a team and takes pride in their work. RESPONSIBILITIES: Field Surveyor Experience with Robotic instruments Experience with GPS equipment Experience with all aspects of field surveying WORK SCHEDULE: The typical schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or equivalent, required Willingness to learn, positive attitude, dependable, and reliable Solid math skills Good communication skills, both written and verbal Valid driver’s license Ability to work outside in a wide variety of weather and terrain conditions Ability to regularly lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/ or move up to 100 pounds Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in difficult and stressful situations. Must accept empowerment to be accountable; must be willing to be coached and be moldable and teachable. Possess the ability to work well with people and to create a self-motivating work environment. Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time. Demonstrate strong organizational skills, high level of accuracy, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while able to give attention to details. Demonstrates a positive customer service focus. Ability to accurately read various measuring devices. Ability to understand the use of and operate all department owned survey equipment. Ability to safely operate equipment such as chainsaws, machetes, and other tools. Ability to write in clear penmanship. Ability to read plans.
