Quality Assurance Technician

Position : Quality Assurance Technician Location : Moncks Corner, SC Duration : 5 Months contract Total Hours/week : 40.00 pay rate-$20-30/hr 1st Shift Client: Medical Device Company Level Of Experience: Entry Level or Mid-Level Employment Type: Contract on W2 (Need US Citizens Or GC Holders Only) Shift = 1st shift 6AM - 4PM Mon. - Thurs. Job Description Purpose: Performs visual, dimensional, and functional inspection on a variety of in-process and finished products by using observations and simple gauges. Major Duties And Responsibilities Works from drawings, written instructions, checklists and pictorial, verbal or physical standards to evaluate product conformance to specifications. Must be knowledgeable of a large variety of products and production processes and evaluates both for conformance to specification requirements. Communicates non-conformance to the production supervisor, discusses corrective action and follows up to ensure the corrective action was effective. Identifies work as acceptable or reject based on sampling plans and AQL levels, initiates rejection notices, and maintains a written record of the inspection performed and the results. May perform inspection of incoming raw materials. Recognizes conditions outside specific instruction, which requires corrective action and initiates programs to ensure that the action is taken. Reports to supervisor conditions requiring action beyond scope of job. Assists with data collection and testing on special trials. Assists in reviewing and updating quality documents in area of responsibility. Must be cross trained in various QA functions throughout the facility. Other duties as assigned. Experience/education/Training/Skill Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. Ability to make decisions and work independently. Physical Demands And Work Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands or arms (to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls). The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually low. The employee is not subjected to noise above OSHA levels without providing hearing protection, which will attenuate the noise to less than 85 db. The Personal Protective Equipment required to perform this job safely includes safety glasses and appropriate shoes.
