Job Title: School-Based Physical Therapist
Location: San Francisco, CA
Position Type: Full-Time
Full 2026-2027 School Year
Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist to support students in a school-based setting in San Francisco, California. This role focuses on helping students improve mobility, strength, and functional skills so they can fully participate in their educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students’ physical needs and develop therapy plans aligned with IEP goals
- Deliver physical therapy services in various school environments, including classrooms, playgrounds, and therapy spaces
- Work collaboratively with educators, special education teams, and related service providers
- Maintain thorough documentation, including progress notes and compliance records
- Recommend and implement adaptations, equipment, and strategies to enhance student independence
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current California PT license or eligibility to obtain one
- Prior experience with pediatric or school-based populations is a plus
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a caseload effectively
